Tide Mills is a derelict village in East Sussex, England. It lies about two kilometres (1.2 miles) south-east of Newhaven and four kilometres (2.5 miles) north-west of Seaford and is near both Bishopstone and East Blatchington. The village was condemned as unfit for habitation in 1936 and abandoned in 1939. Take a guided forage tour of the Tide Mills ruins and see what Sea Vegetables and Wild edible plants are lurking around this old Estuary Mill Village. Abandoned to make way for military operations Tide mills is a fascinating look back in time with drawings showing the old buildings and floor layout of the village. We will also learn how to forage Razor Clams and hopefully see some popping out of the sand! (please bear this in mind if Plant Based) Learn how to harvest Sea Weed and get tips on how to prepare and cook your bounty. Expect Samphire, Shellfish, Sea Weed and a great evening!
